Partnership energy and weatherization services provide energy conservation improvements that reduce energy consumption by an average of 30% per household. Health and safety efforts improve the quality of life for homeowners. Service measures are conducted on homes at no cost to the homeowner thanks to generous funding partnerships. These programs serve income-eligible households in Cullman, Lawrence, Marion, Morgan, Walker, and Winston counties in North Alabama.
Department of Energy (DOE) and Low-income Weatherization Assistance Program (LIWAP) grant funds provide assistance to homeowners who are at or below 200% of poverty guidelines.
Home Forward grants are competitive grants used to implement measures that supplement LIWAP and DOE funded projects.
Home Forward grants are funded by the Alabama Power Business Charitable Trust (ABC Trust).
The purpose of Community Service Block Grant (CSBG) funds is to support services and activities for individuals with low-incomes that alleviate the causes and conditions of poverty in communities.
